SIMBA APPOINT CLARKE & PULMAN

Clarke and Pulman

Simba Horsch is extending its dealership network with the appointment of Burscough-based Clarke & Pulman to cover Lancashire and environs. The company already holds Fendt and Caterpillar franchises, as well as a wide range of other machinery manufacturers.

The award of the Simba Horsch franchise is a significant development for the company, says founder Ged Clarke: “We expect Simba’s smaller machines to be well matched to the needs of farms across the region – and to the size of tractors they use.

“The 3m X-Press and ST bar will interest our farmers, many of whom include vegetables in their rotations, and need to be sure they remove any compaction caused by field work. Simba’s equipment is reknowned for its long working life, low cost of ownership, as well as reliability, flexibility of use and holding its value well”.

Clarke & Pulman operates from a base at Burscough, where it employs 18 people and offers full new machinery, spare parts and service facilities. The company also runs a selection of websites selling spare parts for the franchises it holds on a national basis, as well as classic tractor parts.

Simba’s Territory Manger Gary Bailey says the appointment is a significant addition to the company’s dealer network:

“Clarke & Pullman is a young and highly successful dealership, with the majority of its employees being young, forward-thinking people with a strong desire to build its reputation and become market leaders in the area, and the work ethic to achieve that.

They have already achieved significant sales with Massey Ferguson and Fendt tractors, and we are sure they achieve the same for Simba Horsch. Their region includes many vegetable growers, for whom machines like the Aqueels and Flatliner will be significant, as will the new DTX cultivator. We look forward to building a healthy relationship – and customer base – with them”.
