FACTORY UPDATES ALREADY REAPING REWARD
"Simba's re-modelled production plant will be busy all year".
It is pleasing to report that our new production facility at Sleaford is now up and running – with the first models rolling off the production line before Christmas, which is actually ahead of schedule.
Judging by the volume of orders generated by this autumn’s finance scheme – which has been the busiest ever – 500 or so enquiries from Agritechnica, and what we expect to add at LAMMA, it looks like the factory will remain extremely busy for the rest of the year.
Operations Manager David O’Neill, who is managing the change, is delighted that the new system has reached full production so quickly, and pays tribute to the employees who have helped ensure the project’s success:
“The new line has exceeded all expectations, and the first machines due to be made in 2008 actually came off the line before Christmas, so we are ahead of the game, and the staff’s efforts have been crucial to that. Our biggest concern now – I am delighted to say – is keeping the entire plant stocked with components and parts”.
