Britain’s farmers are not alone in enjoying a recovery in fortunes. Anyone who knows Paul Collins – previously our South West Territory Manager and now general manager of C B Norwood, our New Zealand importer – will recognise the pithy tone of this comment:
“It has been very difficult for the past 12 months, as incomes have been at their lowest for a good while, but things are changing fast. The dairy payout will be up by 50%, which is very significant and both wheat and barley prices have gone through the roof. The combination of these factors means there is a very different feeling in the market today than there was just a few months ago!”
