18.06.07 - SPREAD-A-BALE DEALER IN NOTTS
B & B Tractors is the latest recruit to the rapidly developing national dealer network appointed by Sleaford, Lincolnshire based farm machinery manufacturer Simba to handle the Spread-A-Bale automatic straw spreading machine.
B & B Tractors, a main Massey Ferguson dealer, will cover Nottinghamshire from its base at Warsop, and Derbyshire from its premises at Tideswell, near Buxton and its new base at Fauld, near Derby. It will also handle Simba’s consolidation tools, which include four designs of DD ring, and the Aqueel and Cross Compliance Roller.
Paul Harrison, Managing Director of B & B Tractors, believes the Spread-A-Bale will prove particularly valuable to mixed and dairy farmers: “We have some large, mixed farms across Nottinghamshire, and some major dairy units in Derbyshire, for whom the time and cost saving that the Spread-A-Bale offers will be valuable.
“The range of consolidation tools are also of great interest to arable farmers, who need to achieve effective consolidation of cultivated land and seedbeds for both agronomic and environmental reasons”.
Peter Mason, Simba’s Product Specialist, believes the smaller models will prove attractive to many dairy farmers across Derbyshire: “These models can be fitted to the front forks of a tractor, and will help them achieve both the time and cost savings they need to make to ensure their units remain viable into the future.
“The launch later this year of a new side-discharging model will also be of interest to them. Simba has sold almost 100 machines in the year since it took over the marketing of the machine, and we expect B & B Tractors to help us improve market penetration across this important area”.
