TOUGH TILLAGE
September’s two Tillage sites posed very different challenges to machines being demonstrated – and Simba kit coped fine, says Guy Leversha:
“The Oxfordshire site was some very heavy soil, but that only helped prove how well the Solo ST performs, and how versatile it is. It also posed a good test for the Terrano FX, which also performed very well.
We understand the total crowd came to something like 2,500 people, which demonstrates how well established and regarded these events are, and there was an encouraging air of confidence among the visitors we saw. We took 150 good quality enquiries during the day.
We took a similar number at the Yorkshire event as well, where the lighter soil types enabled the X-Press and ST Bar show off its qualities.
At both events we also received considerable interest in both the CultiPress and UniPress, both machines which have proven very adept at breaking baked-out ploughing down into a seedbed”.
Our new Territory Manager Ross Gregg certainly enjoyed the Oxfordshire event:
“The Pronto DC and 3m X-Press with ST Bar attracted great interest among farmers from my region. Obviously stronger cereal prices have bolstered confidence significantly. We all have full diaries of demonstrations booked, which we are confident we can turn into orders”.
