Aqueel...the soil erosion solution
There are very few farms in the UK that are not affected by soil erosion, by water or particularly wind. Wherever there is the slightest slope, there is soil erosion. Wherever there are totally flat fields there is wind erosion.
Aqueel makes a major contribution to combating the effects of both of these serious problems. Serious erosion is evident on slopes with as little as a 3 percent fall, which puts the majority of the arable land in England at some risk. The unique properties of the indentations on flat fields, create an uneven surface across the whole field which significantly reduces wind erosion.
The eddying effect of the Aqueel indentations reduces the ability of the wind to hold soil particles. These airborne particles are encouraged to fall back to earth as the wind passes over the indented surface. Additionally, these vortices minimise the abililty of the wind to pick up particles from the consolidatetd surface.

The Aqueel is a revolutionary roller that is valued by existing users for two main assets
Non Stick Roller
The Aqueel is made from a durable, micro-cellular polyurethane material that compresses as it contacts the ground, but resumes its original shape as it releases from it. This enables it to shrug off any soil picking up on it, so it 'runs clean' and does not need scrapers, which makes it ideal as the rolling element of power harrow combination drills. Farmers using it in this role report higher output because the down-time spent unblocking, adjusting and replacing scraper blades is greatly reduced.
In autumn 2004, when damp conditions meant many farmers using conventional steel rollers were unblocking scrapers or parked up completely, those using Aqueels could complete drilling in a timely fashion and avoid working late into the autumn - thus helping them comply with the Cross Compliance conditions of the reformed CAP.
Despite these damp conditions, one user reported that - after doing over 1,000 acres of drilling - the Aqueel left the field "looking like it had just been pressure-washed".
The Aqueel has proved itself to be very durable, with low wear rates reported wherever it is used - even on two farms where there are the remains of brickworks!
