The non-stick solution
The Aqueel is made from a durable, micro-cellular polyurethane material that compresses as it contacts the ground, but resumes its original shape as it releases from it. This enables it to shrug off any soil picking up on it, so it 'runs clean' and does not need scrapers, which makes it ideal as the rolling element of power harrow combination drills. Farmers using it in this role report higher output because the down-time spent unblocking, adjusting and replacing scraper blades is greatly reduced.
In the past, when working in damp conditions, many farmers using conventional steel rollers were unblocking scrapers or parked up completely, those using Aqueels could complete drilling in a timely fashion and avoid working late into the autumn.
The unique elastomeric properties of the Aqueel eliminates virtually all these problems without a detrimental effect on the seedbed preparation. Whatever type of cultivation you are applying, tined cultivator, soil conditioning or powered cultivator the Aqueel roller can transform its ability to work in difficult conditions.
Despite very damp conditions, one user reported that - after doing over 1,000 acres of drilling - the Aqueel left the field "looking like it had just been pressure-washed".
The Aqueel has proved itself to be very durable, with low wear rates reported wherever it is used - even on two farms where there are the remains of brickworks!
