SL Range

An extra dimension in cultivator performance

BSL700 Foldeduilt around proven, innovative components mounted on a central chassis, SL cultivators are capable of carrying out a number of operations in a single pass.

With a working width of 7 metres, the SL 700 model is a purpose-built unit for high horsepower tractors (400hp+). It features a Disc Tine Disc (DTD) configuration, which comprises a single row of X-Press type discs followed by 2 rows of ST tines, another set of discs and a 700mm DD Lite rear roller.

Solo STThe design of these machines ensures that they can work at shallow depths with the discs and deeper depths with loosening tines as two distinct operations within the machine. This is a different concept to some other machines that operate on a twin-pass principle, where deeper working tines, for example, have to supplement the working operation of discs. This can result in a compromise where clods are boiled to the surface, reducing seedbed quality. With the SL, the key design criteria of the tine is to give a complete shatter of the soil profile at depth without bringing clods and subsoil to the surface.

Solo STComputer aided techniques validate the strength and durability of the SL frame.

This is vitally important in today’s demanding farming climate as it is often in the second and third years of operation that, fatigue failures, for example, caused by the heat-affected zones of structural welds, can occur
Solo ST600mm Pro-Active Discs Discs

One row of serrated discs at the front of the machine and another following the tines chop and incorporate the surface trash. Manufactured from boron steel to give extended working life they are 600mm (24”) in diameter. Each disc is mounted on a Pro-Active leaf spring allowing improved contour following and stone protection. The discs working angle can be easily adjusted. A track rod system operated by a single handle gives stepless change.

Solo STChoice of tine designST Tines
Two rows of Shallow Tines (ST) are fitted as standard and there are 16 tines in total. The Simba ST trip reset tines have six depth settings in 25mm increments and a choice of knock on points, to create a cultivation effect that can be readily matched to the soil type and conditions. Low Disturbance (LD) Tines are available as an option. This innovative leg performs considerable cultivation and soil restructuring at depth in the root zone without disturbing or inverting any weathered tilth from the surface.

Rear DD Roller
The soil is consolidated at the rear of the machine by a 700mm DD roller with a 230mm ring spacing, leaving a fine, level, weatherproof finish.

ST TinesRear Drawbar

Rear Drawbar
Fitted as standard, a rear drawbar with hydraulics enables you to pull a light roll or press in tandem with the cultivator. When an optional Oilseed Rape Kit is fitted, the rape seed is blown to the rear of the DD rings on a firmed level surface. A following roll consolidates the seed without loss of moisture.
